DATE: 12th FEBRUARY, 2018 P.C.:- 1] This is an application for permission to obtain Passport from the Regional Passport Authority, Thane.
2] As per Rules, if criminal matter is pending, such a person has to obtain permission of the Court where the matter is pending. In the present matter, the Applicant has already been acquitted by the learned Trial Judge. Against the said acquittal, State has preferred an appeal.
3] In that view of the matter, we are inclined to allow the 1/2

4] Permission is granted to the Applicant to apply to the competent authority for grant of Passport. The said authority would consider the said application in accordance with law.
5] We however make it clear that, the Applicant shall not leave the Country without obtaining prior permission of this Court. 6] Application is accordingly disposed of.
