Heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned Government Pleader representing the respondents (State). 2.

Learned Government Pleader points out that for the grievances raised in this PIL petition, an alternative statutory remedy under section 22A of the Maharashtra Public Trust Act, 1950 is available and hence, the PIL petition is not maintainable.

Having regard to the aforesaid submission made by the learned Government Pleader, we are not inclined to entertain this PIL petition, which is hereby dismissed.

However, notwithstanding dismissal of the PIL petition, it will be open to

401-PIL.4.2024 the petitioner to seek redressal of his grievance before any other forum/Court or authority, which may be legally permissible.
