1. Heard learned APP appearing for the State.

2. The Petitioner by his application dated 25.10.2017 has sought for Narco test to determine his culpability.

3. Learned APP has submitted a report dated 16.06.2022 prepared by the Jail Officer-I, Yerwada Central Jail, Pune which states that the Petitioner is an under trial in 4 cases registered between 2014 and 2017.

4. In view of the above, the specific grievance of the Petitioner for seeking Narco test in one of the aforesaid 4 offences cannot be accepted by this Court. However, it is left to the jail authorities / competent authorities to determine the appropriate course of action in accordance with law.

5. With the above directions, Writ Petition stands disposed of.

6. Registry to Registry shall send a copy of this order to the concerned jail authorities who in turn shall communicate the same to the Petitioner.
