This is a petition filed under Article 226 of the Constitution of India for issuance of a writ of habeas corpus for production of Savita Pandurang Savade @ Savita Vikas Pandhare, who according to the petitioner has been illegally detained by respondent nos. 3 to 7. 2.

We have heard learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP, who appears on behalf of the respondent nos.1, 2 and 8. The detenue Savita has been produced before us and her statement has been

wp-5083-14 recorded in our chamber in the presence of the learned counsel for the petitioner and the learned APP. The detenue - Savita in her statement has clearly stated that she was married to respondent no. 4 on 9/2/2015 and since her marriage is residing with her husband - respondent no.4. She has also stated that she has not been detained against her will by anyone and wishes to reside with respondent no.4.

In the light of the said statement, therefore, the learned counsel for the petitioner seeks to withdraw this petition. 4.

Accordingly, this writ petition is dismissed as withdrawn. Notice of habeas corpus issued by us stands discharged. In the circumstances, there shall be no order as to costs. (DR. SHALINI PHANSALKAR-JOSHI,J.) (P. V. HARDAS,J.)
