By this public interest litigation, the Petitioner has sought following relief :- " [A] That this Honourable Court be pleased to issue a writ mandamus or writ in the nature of mandamus or any other appropriate writ direction or order under Article 226 of the Constitution of India, 1950, directing the Respondent Nos.1 to 3, with the assistance of the Respondent Nos.4 and 5, to appoint delegates to the Parsi District Matrimonial Court at Pune, as per Section 24 and 25 of the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936 within a fixed period of time as this Honourable Court may deem fit and submit a compliance report to that effect to this Honourable Court."

The communication and the notification disclose that the State Government has appointed 12 Parsis as delegates to aid in adjudication of the cases arising under the Parsi Marriage and Divorce Act, 1936. The notification is published in the Government gazette dated 11th June, 2018. The communication and the notification are taken on record and marked as 'X-1' and 'X-2' for identification. 3.
