The Petitioner requests that home made food be allowed to him in jail and other facilities like mosquitoes net, coffee powder etc. be provided to him. We do not think that for the said purpose we should invoke our extraordinary writ jurisdiction and issue directions to the Respondent. However, in case the grievance of the Petitioner still subsists, then it would be open for him to approach the appropriate authority and, in case, the Petitioner approaches the appropriate authority, the appropriate authority may consider his prayer in terms of the Jail Manual.
