This Petition is for quashing the proceedings against petitioner in NDPS Special Case No.156 of 2001 arising out of C.R. No.58 of 2001 registered at the instance of Anti Narcotic Cell, Mumbai for offences under Sections 8(c) read with Section 21 and 29 of the NDPS Act. 2.

Learned APP submits a report stating that, the name of petitioner does not appear in the present proceedings. It is brought to out notice that in the similar case arising out of C.R. No. 49 of 2001, the petitioner had preferred Criminal Writ Petition No.1424 of 2023 before this Court and considering the affidavit filed by prosecution indicating that the petitioner was not shown as wanted accused in the said proceedings and is not an accused in the said crime, the petition was disposed off. In the light of report submitted by prosecution and since the petitioner is not concerned in the impugned proceedings, the petition stands disposed off.
