By order dated 27/11/2017 the Appellate Authority i.e. the Divisional Commissioner, Pune Division, Pune has reduced the externment period imposed by the Externing Authority vide order dated 08/08/2017 to one year. Hence the said period of externment is come to an end today i.e. 07/08/2018. The entertaining of the above Writ Petition would therefore be only an academic exercise. We, therefore do not deem this a fit case to exercise our writ jurisdiction. The above Writ Petition is accordingly dismissed.
