By this petition filed under Section 29(A) of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act, 1996, the petitioner is seeking extension of mandate of the learned arbitrator, which expired on 30th September, 2022. It is brought to the notice of this Court that final arguments are being addressed before the learned arbitrator and that therefore, the mandate may be extended till December, 2023.

The respondent is represented by counsel and consents to the prayer made in the present petition.

This Court has perused the contents of the present petition and it is found that sufficient grounds are made out by the petitioner for grant of prayer.

In view of the above, the petition is allowed and the mandate of the learned arbitrator is extended till 31st December, 2023. 5.

The petition stands disposed of.
