Heard the learned counsel for the parties.

As the Court expressed its disinclination to entertain the prayer for bail, the learned counsel for the applicant seeks leave to withdraw the application.

The learned counsel for the applicant further submits that the applicant has been in custody since 19th October, 2017. Therefore, the trial be expedited.

Prima facie, there is a strong case against the applicant. However, the fact that the applicant has been in custody for almost years cannot be lost sight of. The Court is informed that the 1⁄2 charge has yet not been framed. In the circumstances, a prayer for expeditious conclusion of the trial appears justifiable. 5.

The learned Session Judge seized with Sessions Case No. 15 of 2018 arising out of C.R. No. 515 of 2017 is requested to make an endeavour to commence and conclude the trial as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of six months from 20th May, 2024; the scheduled date of hearing in the Sessions Case. 7.

In the event the trial is not completed within the stipulated period, the applicant shall have the liberty to revive the prayer for bail.
