There is an affidavit filed by Mr. Suryakant Kisan Nikam, Deputy Secretary, Home Department, Mantralaya, Mumbai to which a copy of the order dated 21st March, 2017 passed by the Hon'ble Minister of State, Home Department, has been annexed. By the said order, the earlier order dated 20th March, 2014 passed by the State has been recalled and a direction has been issued to grant Arms licence to the petitioner for self-protection.

We accept the statements made in the affidavit. Now the procedure of formally issuing a licence will have to be completed. 3.

We direct that in terms of the order dated 21st March, 2017 the Licencing Authority (the Commissioner of Police, Mumbai) shall issue a licence to the petitioner within a period of two weeks from today. 4.
