The Petitioner has filed this Contempt Petition alleging breach of order dated 8th June 2015 in Writ Petition No.12159 of 2012. 2.

We have perused the Affidavit-in-Reply filed by Registrar (Legal), State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission dated 11th October 2018. In paragraphs 2 and 3 of the said Affidavit-in-Reply, it is stated as follows :

I say that pursuant to the said directions given by this Honble Court, the matter was placed before Selection Committee on 21.9.2015 to consider the reappointment of the Petitioner as President of the District Consumer Forum. The said Consumer Forum as per direction given by this Hon'ble Court in Order dated 8.6.2015. Accordingly, Selection Committee has considered the candidature of the said Petitioner and in accordance with law make recommendation not to reappoint as President of District Consumer Redressal Forum. Hereto annexed and marked as "Exhibit-1" is the copy of the said minutes of the Committee.

I say that thereafter, the Petitioner has filed Writ Petition No.13092 of 2016, before this Hon'ble Court. This Hon'ble Court was pleased to direct the State Consumer Redressal Forum to place before the Court the record of interview and proceeding conducted by Selection Committee for re-appointment of the Petitioner as President of District Consumer Redressal Forum. Accordingly, the Competent authorities have produced the record before the Hon'ble Court and Hon'ble Court was pleased to dispose of the said Writ Petition No.13092 of 2016, observing that the case of the Petitioner have been considered for re-appointment and Petitioner has found non-suitable and as such prayer sought in the petition stand work out. The said prayers are incorporated in the said order dated 3rd March 2017 and petition came to be disposed off. Hereto annexed and marked as "Exhibit-2" is the copy of the Order dated 3rd March 2017 passed by this Hon'ble Court in Writ Petition No.13092 of 2016." 3.

In view of the above, the action for contempt is not warranted. The Contempt Petition to stand disposed of.
