This writ petition challenges an interlocutory order passed by the Industrial Court at Thane in revision. The Respondent to the present petition was the original complainant before the Labour Court at Thane. The complaint was of proposed termination of his services by the Petitioners herein (original respondents). On his application, made under Section 30(2) of the MRTU & PULP Act, the Labour Court declined to grant any interim relief to the Respondent. The Industrial Tribunal in revision, however, granted the interim relief prayed for, directing the Petitioners herein not to terminate the services of the Respondent on the basis of the impugned show cause notice and maintain status-quo in respect of his services. This is merely an interlocutory order. The complaint itself is now very much ripe for hearing. Accordingly, this Court is of the view that interests of justice would be adequately satisfied, if the Labour Court is asked to dispose of the complaint itself in a time-bound manner. sg wp1268-20.doc petition is disposed of by directing the Labour Court at Thane to expeditiously hear Complaint (ULP) No.102 of 2018 and dispose of the same preferably within a period of six months from today. Either party may appear before the court and produce an authenticated copy of this order. The Labour Court may, thereupon, fix a schedule of hearings and dispose of the complaint accordingly.
