The applicant was admitted to the interim protection by a reasoned order dated 17/12/2019. It was recorded that the proceedings under Section 138 of the Negotiable Instruments Act are initiated and in the wake of the said development, the applicant came to be protected. The learned APP does not dispute that in terms of the order, the applicant has reported for investigation, but her submission is that he has not cooperated. What is the exact nature of co-operation is not stated.

In such circumstances, when the investigation is now complete and the custodial interrogation of the applicant is not warranted, the order dated 17/12/2019 stands confrmed, subject to the stipulation that the applicant shall render his cooperation as and when required by the Investigating Offcer.
