The Applicant, a public servant is seeking pre-arrest bail in crime no. 255 of 2018 registered with Nirmal Nagar Police Station for offence punishable under Sections 420, 465, 467, 468, 469 and 471 of the Indian Penal Code.

The Applicant, a Police Constable working with Discipline Force has submitted forged medical bills for reimbursement thereby

2 912.2378.18 aba.doc lodging a claim for an amount of Rs. 5,57,722/-. It is claimed by the Applicant that his wife who is a cancer patient underwent necessary treatment and as such he has incurred said expenses. During preliminary inquiry, it was found that the Applicant's wife was neither suffering from any such disease as claimed by the Applicant nor the Applicant has spent the amount as claimed by him by way of reimbursement.

Prima facie the involvement of the Applicant in the crime in question can be inferred from the documents which are available on record. That being so, no case for bail is made out. Application fails, rejected.
