The petitioner has filed application for appointment on compassionate ground. According to the learned counsel for the petitioner, the said application is not yet decided. 2.

The learned AGP appears for the respondents.

We would not have entertained the writ petition on merits. The petitioner would be required to approach the Maharashtra Administrative Tribunal. However, as now only directions are sought for deciding the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground, we direct the concerned employer to decide the application of the petitioner for appointment on compassionate ground on its own merits and in accordance with law and policy, expeditiously, preferably within four months.

With the aforesaid direction, the writ petition is disposed of. No costs.
