The Petitioners have preferred an appeal under Section 251 of the Maharashtra Land Revenue Code, 1966 before the Deputy Director of Land Records, Konkan Division, Mumbai. They had challenged the order passed by the Superintendent of Land Records condoning delay of 17 years in approaching that Authority for raising objection to the mutation entries. The Petitioner had preferred an application for stay before the Deputy Director of Land Records (Respondent No.1). Said application was rejected. Deshmane(PS)

Learned counsel for the Petitioners, on instructions, states that he is not pressing this Petition but directions be issued to the Respondent No.1 to decide his appeal within a reasonable period.

The request is reasonable. The Petition is allowed to be withdrawn. The Respondent No.1 is directed to decide the Petitioners' appeal within a period of six weeks from today.
