ORDER:

It is an admitted position that the Notification under section 4 of the Land Acquisition Act, 1894 was issued on 18 February 1999, possession of the subject land was taken on 16 June 1999 and the Award was declared on 29 February 2000. The grievance of the Petitioner is that the compensation has not been paid and the subject land has been acquired. The Petitioner has approached this Court after almost two decades. In view of the judgment of a 3-Judge Bench of the Supreme Court in the case of State of Maharashtra vs. Digamber, (1995) 4 SCC 683, we are not inclined to entertain the Petition. The Petition is dismissed only on the ground of delay and laches.
