The petitioner raises challenge to the changes brought in Ward No.11 on the objections filed by one Mr. Shikalgar & 5 others. On hearing their objection the Election Commission Authority brought certain changes by shifting some area of Ward No. 11 to Ward No. 10. The petitioner filed three objections in respect of Ward No.14 and Ward No.11. Out of three, one objection was accepted. The next objection was regarding joining area where Bajaj Company, Force Motors and other

2/2 10wp176.17.sxw companies carry on their activities, to be joined to Ward No.11. This objection came to be rejected by the Designated officer after considering the record, the geographical conditions in accordance with guidelines laid down in this behalf.

Learned Counsel Mr.Shetye appearing for State Election Commission has placed before us a draft Ward map and other maps indicating the objections taken by candidates regarding draft Ward formation. After hearing the objections and after going through the record, the objections were looked into and finalised. Learned Counsel appearing for State Election Commission submits that elections are likely to be declared very soon.

We find that no interference is warranted in this petition under extraordinary writ jurisdiction of this Court. The persons who raised objections in respect of Ward No.11 are not made party to the petition. There is no merit in the petition. It is dismissed. (M.S. KARNIK, J.) (NARESH H. PATIL, J.) L.S.
