Heard learned counsel for the applicants. The applicants were released on bail by an order dated 18/06/2021. The applicants were permitted to furnish provisional cash bail of Rs.25,000/- for a period of 8 weeks in lieu of sureties. The sureties could not be furnished within the time prescribed by order dated 11/11/2022. This Court, on an earlier occasion, did not extend the time to
31. ia 4362.22.doc furnish the sureties as the applicant failed to adhere the time limit prescribed.

Now learned counsel for the applicant submitted that the sureties are ready, but the Sessions Court is not accepting the same, as the period has expired to furnish them. Learned APP opposed the request.

Considering the nature of the request and submissions made, in the interest of justice, since it is a question of liberty of the applicant, it is necessary to extend the period for accepting the sureties if the same is so done within a period of 2 weeks from today, and the period stands so extended.

The application is disposed of.
