The petitioners claim to be District Awardee and/or certificate holder of excellent teacher. The petitioners claim additional increment as per Government Resolution dated 12.12.2000 and 31st October, 1989. The issue is no longer res-integra, in view of catena of judgments passed by this Court. A reference can be made to the order dated 31.07.2019 passed in Writ Petition No.9463 of 2019 (Sanjay Maharudra Kshirsagar and Ors. Vs. The State of Maharashtra & Ors.) with connected writ petitions at Aurangabad.

In light of that, we follow the same course :- The respondents/Zilla Parishads after satisfying themselves that the petitioners are District awardee teachers or are awarded certificate of excellent work prior to 04.09.2018, shall individually consider the case of the petitioners for grant of additional increment as is laid down under the government Resolution dated 12.12.2000. The same shall be considered on its own merits, expeditiously and preferably within a period of six

(06) months.
