The only grievance of the Petitioners is that though they have participated in the recruitment process held by the Police Department from the sports category, the Sports Certificates are pending verification with Respondent no.1 since 09.11.2022. According to the learned Counsel for the Petitioners, the recruitment process is in progress. Under the statute, the Respondent no.1 is required to verify the Sports Certificate within 20 days.

14 wp369-23.docx Considering that the recruitment process is in progress, the Respondent no.1 shall endeavour to decide the verification of Sports Certificate of the Petitioners, if pending before him preferably within four weeks.

Writ Petition is disposed of. No costs.
