The Petitioner has an objection to the jurisdiction of the District Court at Panvel entertaining Petition No. 109 of 2022 filed by the Respondents, under Sections 7, 9 and 25 of the Guardians and Wards Act, 1890 read with Section 7(1)(g) of the Family Courts Act, 1984, on the ground that the Petitioner is a resident of Bengaluru, where she is residing with her son.

Considering the nature of Petition, it will be appropriate for the Petitioner to approach the District Court by making an application raising objections on maintainability of the proceedings on the ground of jurisdiction. Let such an application be filed by the Petitioner within a period of four weeks, and, if such an application is filed, the same be decided as 7 February, 2024
