DATED : 9th JULY 2019 P.C:- Petition is presented through jail and see a prayer to transfer the petitioner from Kolhapur Central Prison, Kalamba, to Amravati Central Prison.

Petitioner was tried by the Addl. District and Sessions Judge at Thane in Sessions Case Nos. 395 of 2009 and Tilak

2/2 5 WP 3791-13.doc 198 of 2010 for an offence punishable under section 460 of the IPC and Section 135 of the Bombay Police Act and he was convicted and sentenced to undergo Life Imprisonment. The petitioner however, came to be acquitted by the High Court in Criminal Appeal No. 1230 of 2012 by the judgment and order dated 12th March 2019.

However, he was subsequently transferred to Parbhani District Jail as another pending case against him is pending in the Court of Addl. Sessions Court at Hingoli. In the aforesaid circumstances, the grievance made in the application does not survive and the same is dismissed. In view of the disposal of Writ Petition, Civil Application Nos.550/17 and 242/18 do not survive and are accordingly disposed of.
