Heard. By this First Appeal, the Appellant challenges the judgment and award dated 14.12.2016 passed by the MACT Thane in MACP No.170/2012 holding that the Respondent-Claimants are entitled to compensation of Rs.16,53,000/- with 9% p.a. interest.

The learned counsel for the Applicant submits that by this First Appeal, they are challenging the impugned judgment and award only on the basis of the quantum. He submits that the compensation awarded is on higher side.
