The Public Interest Litigation is ill-conceived for the reason it seeks to question the legality of the Maratha Reservation Bill introduced for discussion by the Legislative Assembly in the State of Maharashtra. There can be no challenge to a Bill which has yet to be converted into law. That apart, after the legislation was enacted, its validity was questioned and with modification to the extent of reservation provided for members of the Maratha community the same has been upheld by a Division bench of this Court.

Thus, as regards this Court, the issue is closed. 3.

The Public Interest Petition is dismissed.
