The Petitioner is claiming rehabilitation benefit since the agricultural land belonging to him is said to have been acquired by the State Government for irrigation / irrigation project.

The petition can be disposed of by granting liberty to the petitioner to tender a proposal / representation to the District Rehabilitation Officer, Respondent No.4 herein, and by issuing further direction to the concerned authority to take decision on the said representation within the specified period. spb/ 24wp9293-18.odt If the Petitioner tenders a representation, settingforth his claim before the Respondent No. 4 within a period of six weeks from today, the concerned authority shall take appropriate decision on the representation in accordance with law as expeditiously as possible and preferably within a period of four months from the date of receipt of representation. With the directions, as above, the writ petition is disposed of.
