The applicant came to be arrested in Crime No. 277 of 2022 registered at Miraj Gramin Police Station, District Sangli for the offences punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code. 3.

I have heard the learned counsel for the applicant, the learned APP for the respondent-State and perused the First Information Report. 4.

It appears that there was a love affair between the deceased and the niece of the present applicant. It appears that on the date of incident, which took place on 9 June 2022, while the applicant and the deceased were together, the applicant got the message that his niece committed MJ Jadhav 1 / 2

921-BA-3812-22.odt suicide. It is alleged that the applicant thus got annoyed and assaulted the deceased by wooden stick and committed his murder as according to him the deceased was responsible for death of his niece. 5.

Prima facie, the incident does not appear to be premeditated. Considering the overall facts and circumstances of the case, I am inclined to release the applicant on bail. Hence, the following order is passed: (i) Application is allowed.

(ii) The applicant shall be released on bail in Crime No. 277 of 2022 registered at Miraj Gramin Police Station, District Sangli for the offences punishable under Section 302 of the Indian Penal Code on furnishing PR bond in the sum of Rs. 25,000/- with one or two sureties in the like amount.
