Heard learned Counsel for the petitioner. The learned AGP for the respondent-State states that the Caste Scrutiny Committee needs time of one year for verification of caste claim of the petitioner.

One year is too long in the context of the fact that, the proposal was received by the Committee on 8th

Hence, we pass the following order :

(i) We direct the second respondent to decide the caste claim of the petitioner as expeditiously as possible and in any event on/or before 30th April, 2019.

(ii) With the above direction, the Writ Petition stands disposed of.
