Since the petitioner has forwarded the caste certificate dated 5th October, 2010 for scrutiny and verification of the underlying claim to the second respondent-scrutiny committee on 17th October, 2018, but he is keen to seek admission to the course in medical science for the academic year 2019-20, interest of justice would be served if we pass the following order:- (i) The scrutiny committee shall endeavour and dispose of the claim pending before it as expeditiously as possible and in any event by 31st May, 2019. No extension of time will be granted.

(iii) The petitioner shall appear before the scrutiny committee on 1st February, 2019 at 10.30 a.m. (iv) Since this writ petition is disposed of with only this direction, we clarify that we have not expressed any opinion on the rival contentions insofar as the merits of the claim of the petitioner as belonging to Thakur Scheduled Tribe. 3.

With the aforesaid directions, the writ petition is disposed of.
