The applicant was granted bail vide order dated 3rd September 2018 passed by this Court in Bail Application No.2199 of 2019. The applicant was directed to be released on bail on furnishing PR bond in the sum of Rs.20,000/- with one or more sureties in the like amount in connection with CR No.44 of 2018.

It is the contention of applicant that although the applicant is granted bail on 3rd September 2018, the ration card verification report of concerned surety furnished by the applicant-accused, has not been received by the department at the Sessions Court, at Dindoshi and hence the applicant has not been able to complete further procedure. The applicant has furnished certain surety on 20th October 2018. However, even after one and half months, the ration card verification has not been received. The applicant continues to be in custody although he has been granted bail. It is also stated in
2 of 2 506.APPP.1526.2018.doc the application that the mother of applicant is sick. It is noted that the applicant was granted bail by order dated 3rd September 2018 by this Court and for want of completion of procedure, the applicant has continued to be in custody. The applicant had prayed that he may be released on provisional cash bail in lieu of surety. 3.
Taking into consideration the aforesaid circumstances the order dated 3rd September 2018 passed by this Court in Bail Application No.2199 of 2018 is modified and the applicant is permitted to furnish cash security in the sum of Rs.20,000/- for a period of six weeks to enable the applicant to furnish surety in accordance with order dated 3rd September 2018. Criminal Application No.1526 of 2018 is disposed off.
