The applicant has filed appeal through jail. This is an application seeking condonation of delay in filing Criminal appeal through jail. This Court had requested the learned Counsel Ms. Shraddha Sawant to espouse the cause of the appellant. She has filed an application seeking condonation of delay. The applicant herein is convicted of the offence punishable under section 8, 10 and 12 of the Protection of Children from Sexual Offences Act, 2012 in Special Case No. 175 of 2017 by the Additional Sessions Judge, Thane. The delay is of 109 days. For the reasons assigned in paragraphs 5 and 6 of the application, the application deserves to be allowed. The delay of 109 days is condoned in the interest of justice.
