Section 4 Notifcation for acquisition of the subject land was issued on 16/12/1998. The Award was made in the year 2000 and possession of the subject land was taken on 07/08/2001. The Petitioners have approached the Court in the year 2018 making a grievance that excess land had been acquired. The Petitioners have approached the Court after almost two decades. We fnd that there is an inordinate delay on part of the Petitioners. Hence, we are not inclined to entertain the Petition. The Petition is dismissed only on the ground of delay and latches.
