Grievance of the Petitioners is that after Pune Municipal Corporation had passed a resolution recommending regularization of services of various persons working on a different post on a temporary basis, a list of eligible candidates was notified by the State Government, however, the names of the Petitioners do not appear in the same. According to the Petitioners, the Petitioners are also similarly situated as the persons included in the list, however, their names have not been included even though there are still 38 posts available as per resolution.

The learned Counsel for the Petitioners states that the Petitioners have made various representations in that regard, but the
Trupti 2 6-wp-16081-2023.doc State Government has not taken any action. The last representation is of 23 October 2023 addressed to the Municipal Commissioner, Pune Municipal Corporation 3.
Without going into merits of the Petitioners' claim and the merits of the stand of the Respondents, we observe that response of the Respondents be communicated to the Petitioners as to whether the Petitioners are entitled to be included in the list or not. Subject to earlier time bound commitments and urgent public duties, the reply be given to the Petitioners within a period of six weeks from today.
