CIVIL APPLICATION NO. 1071 OF 2018 By this application, it is prayed that fresh elections for the Term2019 to 2021 be stayed during pendency of the appeal. In the application, it is stated that during pendency of the present proceedings, a fresh notice dated 24th November 2018 has been issued for holding that election. The application is opposed by the counsel of the respondents on the ground that in the appeal, elections held for the earlier Term for the period from 2015 to 2018 are under challenge and hence no relief can be granted in this civil application.
