Since the Petitioners are claiming benefits of the GRs dated LATA SUNIL PANJWANI 8/6/1995, 30/4/1998, 23/7/1998, 13/8/2009 and 15/9/2010 which relate to higher and promotional pay scale and payment of arrears on the basis of decision of this Court, it would be necessary for the Petitioners to first approach the authorities with a representation. At this stage, the learned counsel for the Petitioners submits that if liberty is granted to the Petitioners to make the representation, the Petitioners

2/2 4 wp 501.19.doc shall do the same within a reasonable period of time. 3.

Accordingly, we are of the view that purpose of this petition shall be served by passing the following directions: (i) Petitioners may make representation to the Respondents within a period of two weeks from the date of the order. (ii) We direct that if representation is made by the Petitioners within stipulated time, same shall be decided appropriately and in accordance with law keeping in view the law laid by the Division Bench of this Court in Kiran Namdeo Shinde & ors. vs. The State of Maharashtra, Through Secretary, Social Welfare Dept. & ors. (Writ Petition No.2358 of 2013 decided on 21/9/2013) by the Respondents. Representation may be decided as expeditiously as possible and preferably within 12 weeks from the date of receipt of the application.
