Rule. Rule made returnable forthwith and heard learned counsel for the parties. The direction sought by the petitioner is for expeditious steps to be undertaken in the matter of bifurcation of the Respondent No.4-Apex Body.

In the affidavit-in-reply filed on behalf of the Respondent No.2, it has been stated in Paragraph 9 that after receipt of the report from the District Special Auditor, Class-I, Co-operative Societies, Thane, an appropriate decision would be taken by the Respondent No.2 in accordance with the provisions of the Maharashtra Co-operative Societies Act, 1960. It is submitted by the learned Assistant Government Pleader that the report from the District Special Auditor, Class-I has been received on 01/02/2024.

In view of aforesaid, the writ petition is disposed of by directing the Respondent No.2 to take necessary steps in the matter of bifurcation of the Respondent No.4-Apex Body within a period of eight weeks of receiving copy of this order.
