1] The petitioner, who is A.C. Mechanic, seeks compensation of Rs.50 Lakhs for his detention in prison for about 31 days. Submission is that in a absolutely false and fabricated criminal matter, the respondent No.5 - Police SubInspector misused his position and made the petitioner to suffer.

2] We have perused the judgment dated 4th January 2018 in Case No. 150347/PW/2015. The Trial Court has acquitted the present petitioner for offences punishable under section 504 and 326 of Indian Penal Code.

4] Various disputed questions arise.

5] Hence, with liberty to the petitioner to take such other steps as open to him in law, we dispose of the present petition.
