The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The disputes arose in respect of a Development Agreement dated 5th October 2013 executed by and between the parties. By an order dated 20th June 2018, the disputes between the parties were referred to the sole arbitration of Mr Pradeep Sancheti, learned Senior Advocate of this Court. He was intimated of the same on 26th June 2018.

During the course of the arbitration, the time limit of the arbitral proceedings was extended by a period of 6 months by mutual consent of the parties. However, the mandate of the sole 9th January 2020

918-CARBPL10-20.DOC arbitrator expired on 27th December 2019. The Petitioner states that the arbitration has reached the stage of cross-examination of the Respondent's witnesses.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending time for the arbitral proceedings for a period of 6 months from today. 4.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
