The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. There were disputes between the parties in regard to a loan agreement dated 30th November 2015. A sole arbitrator was appointed by consent. He entered upon the reference to his arbitration on 25th July 2018 and the matter then proceeded before him.

The arbitral proceedings have now reached the stage of cross examination of the petitioner's second witness. The arbitral mandate ended on 03rd January 2020.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 30th January 2021 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
