The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Disputes arose between the parties. By an order dated 24th March 2017 of this court, Mr PD Vishwarao, Retd., District and Sessions Judge was appointed as the sole arbitrator by mutual consent of the parties. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter. 2.

Before the arbitrator, the matter proceeded. After the original arbitral mandate ended, the parties agreed to an initial extension of six months. This Court then granted a further extension for a period 21st January 2020

27-CARBP87-20.DOC of one year, by an order dated 20th December 2018, which ended on 20th December 2019.

The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of crossexamination of the Respondent's witnesses. 4.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate till 30th August 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
