The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The parties entered into a Development Agreement dated 9th December 2009. Disputes and diferences arose between the parties. By an order dated 5th December 2017 of this court, Mr Farhan Dubash, learned Advocate of this court, was appointed as the sole arbitrator with mutual consent of the parties. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter.

Before the arbitrator, the matter proceeded. The original arbitral mandate ended on 5th December 2018. The arbitral 21st January 2020

29-CARBPL34-20.DOC mandate was extended by a period of six months with mutual consent which ended on 5th June 2019. By an order dated 6th June 2019 of this court, the mandate was further extended by a period of six months. The extended mandate ended on 31st December 2019. 3.

The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of marking of Respondent's documents and cross-examination of its witnesses. 4.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 30th August 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
