The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The parties entered into a Permanent Alternate Accommodation Agreement dated 31st March 2010. Disputes arose between the parties in respect of the use, occupation and possession of a flat. By an order dated 12th February 2018 of this Court, Mr Kunal Dwarkadas, learned Advocate of this Court, was appointed as the sole arbitrator. He entered upon the reference to his arbitration on 14th February 2018.

Before the arbitrator, the matter proceeded. The original arbitral mandate ended on 14th February 2019. By an order dated 29th January 2020
13-CARBP-78-20-I.DOC 26th June 2019, this Court extended the mandate for six months. The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of filing of consent terms. The extended arbitral mandate ended on 26th December 2019.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 30th August 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
