The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The Petitioners entered into diverse Agreements with the Respondent dated 29th May 2009, 3rd June 2009, 17th June 2009, 18th June 2009 and 19th June 2009. Disputes arose between the parties. By an order dated 21st July 2016, the Court appointed Mr Rashmin Khandekar, Advocate as the sole arbitrator. The learned Arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter.

Before the tribunal, the matters proceeded. The original arbitral mandate ended on 21st July 2017. By mutual consent, the parties agreed to an extension of six months which ended on 21st January 2018. By an order dated 7th February 2018, this court extended the mandate for twelve months which ended on 21st January 2019. On 20th February 2019, the arbitral mandate was extended for twelve months. The extended mandate ended on 21st January 2020.

The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of final arguments.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 30th July 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
