Admittedly, against the impugned order of assessment, statutory appeal lies before the Appellate Authority. We, therefore, do not entertain this petition in view of the availability of this alternative remedy. Since the petitioner has been bonafide pursuing this petition before this Court, if the appeal is filed before the Appellate Authority latest by 15.12.2018, the same may be examined on merits without reference to limitation.

Learned counsel for the petitioner submitted that the assessing authority has passed the order without proper consideration of the materials on record and has raised tax demand which is unjustified. We are sure the appellate authority shall examine all grievances of the petitioner in the proposed appeal.
