Petitioner has prayed for issuing directions to the respondents to award contract to the petitioner pursuant to their higher bid tender opened on 07.07.1992 in respect of site No.3 on the Chrarni Road Railway Station for advertisement. Petitioner has also prayed for issuing directions to the respondents to produce the procedure, if any, laid down regulating the licensing of sites on the Railway Platforms for exhibiting advertisement / eateries and upon being satisfied of the illegality, impropriety of the same, to grant / renew any further licenece only by calling tenders.

Petition was admitted on 07.06.1996 by issuing Rule, returnable on 03.07.1996. Having regard to the passage of time as also in view of the affidavit dated 30.07.1996 made on behalf of the respondents, prima facie, Petition has become infructuous. In view thereof, the matter was adjourned till today under the caption 'for dismissal'.
