The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The dispute relates to the share of the late Mathew Ninan, a partner in Respondent No 3 firm. This Court appointed a sole arbitrator on 27th June 2018. The arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration shortly thereafter, and the matter proceeded before him.

The extended arbitral mandate ended on 27th December 2019. The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of cross examination of Respondent's witnesses.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate from 27th December 2019 until 31st December 2020 to complete the arbitral proceedings.
