The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. There were disputes between the parties in regard to construction of technical building including internal water supply, sanitary works, air-conditioning, fire alarm system, electrification and development of surrounding area for the plant site. A presiding arbitrator was appointed by the two nominee arbitrators mutually appointed. The arbitrators entered upon the reference to their arbitration on 25th July 2018 and the matter then proceeded before them.

The arbitral proceedings have concluded and the award remains to be passed. The arbitral mandate ended on 4th January 2020.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate from 4th January 2020 until 30th June 2021. 4.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
