CORAM:

G.S. PATEL, J.

DATED:

04th February 2020 PC:- 1.

The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. Disputes arose between the parties under an Addendum dated 4th September 2012 to a General Sales Agent Agreement. A three-member arbitral tribunal was constituted without court intervention, both sides acting in conformity with the arbitration clause. When that tribunal recused itself, on 5th December 2018, this Court appointed a sole arbitrator to decide disputes. He entered upon the reference to his arbitration, and the matter proceeded before him. By the time the arbitral mandate ended on 14th January 2020, the arbitral proceedings were complete and closed for passing an award.

4th February 2020

16-CARBPL120-20 .DOC 2.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate until 30th March 2020 to complete the arbitration and pass the award.

3.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
