The petition is under Section 29-A of the Arbitration and Conciliation Act 1996. The Respondent is absent. 2.

Disputes arose between the parties under a Work Order dated 22nd November 2013. By an order dated 9th February 2018, an advocate of this Court was appointed as the sole arbitrator. The arbitrator entered upon the reference to his arbitration on 30th July 2018, and the matter proceeded before him.

The original arbitral mandate was extended for six months by mutual consent. The extended arbitral mandate ended on 30th January 2020. The arbitral proceedings have reached the stage of cross examination of the Claimant's witness.

Having regard to these circumstances, I am extending the arbitral mandate from 30th January 2020 until 1st March 2021 to complete the arbitral proceedings.

The petition is disposed of accordingly.
